To help keep our Scout Group running smoothly and packed with exciting opportunities, we ask for a yearly subscription fee often called “subs.”
This helps cover:
Weekly meeting costs (venue hire, materials, equipment, etc.)
Membership with the UK Scout Association
Insurance
Most in-house activities and badge work
These fees make it possible for our young people to enjoy a wide range of experiences from campfire cooking to community projects – in a safe, fun, and supportive setting.
£80.00 per year – 1 child
£150.00 per year – 2 children
£230.00 per year – 3 children
We offer a family discount to help make things more affordable if you have more than one child in the group.
Payments are processed safely and securely through PayPal using the links provided below.
You can choose to:
Pay the full amount up front in one payment, or
Spread the cost with 4 monthly instalments – perfect if that suits your household budget better!
💡 You don’t need a PayPal account to use the service – you can simply pay using your debit or credit card via the secure link.
🏕️ Extras: Camps, Trips & Special Events
While your child’s subs cover the cost of regular meetings and most in-group activities, there will be additional charges for things like camps, day trips, and certain special events.
These extra fees help us cover costs such as camp fees, meals, insurance and entry to events or activities. We’ll always give plenty of notice and do our best to keep these costs as affordable as possible.
We believe every young person should have the chance to take part, so if cost is ever a concern, please don’t hesitate to have a confidential chat with one of the leaders – we’re always happy to help where we can.
